We're heading home

The plan today is to drive back home to Farmington. We are still waiting for the Doctor to write the order but we have already loaded up our car and we are "patiently" waiting. Kristoffer had a hard time yesterday watching our other kids get to go home so he is very excited. He is feeling better every day. Just tired. The lab results show that the tumor is already starting to break down from just the two days of chemotherapy. That is exciting news.

Audrie and family, I am so glad to hear this. You know, one thing my mom found out is that most folks (I don't know if it is true for kids) don't complete their entire chemo cycles. It isn't always necessary. We are so pleased that you have found a good hospital and good doctors. There are so many of them across the world that sacrifice and and work so very hard to find out ways to cure our kids. When we lived in Brookline, outside of Boston, we met so many of them. They work insane hours under a lot of pressure and competition, for relatively low pay, take on huge student loans ($100K + is a baseline) and don't see their families very much. We are so pleased that you all will be able to go home today and be together.

Love, J
