The Power of Prayer

Kristoffer made it through this treatment without a fever. We were so happy to be able to stay home and just enjoy our family instead of trying to balance our kids from a hospital room. Kristoffer still had to stay away from large groups of people because his immune system was low but at least he was home. He did have to have a blood transfusion on Friday but they let him do it as an outpatient. His immune system should start to go up today. He is a trooper.

Easter

Checking out their stash!!

Easter morning!!

The boys were very happy to see that the Easter bunny had brought them some goodies.

My little Ashley!!

Kristoffer was a little cranky Easter morning!! He didn't want to pose in his new outfit! He also had blue teeth from his ring pop in his Easter basket.

This was the best picture I could get of my little Connor.

Katelynn loved her new outfit from the "Easter Bunny."

I know I am a little prejudice but what a cute bunch!!

A hard treatment

Kristoffer's treatment went well again. He did not have any nausea or vomiting. They admitted him on Tuesday and released him on Wednesday because he was doing so good. On Thursday though we could tell that he just didn't feel good. He was really cranky and didn't play very much. We could tell that this treatment took a little more out of him than previous treatments. But he is feeling better now. He is very resilient. Now we will just pray that he doesn't start running a fever on Thursday and have to be hospitalized AGAIN!! This will be his last hard treatment before surgery. He will have a CAT scan on April 28th and then we will meet with the surgeon to get ready for surgery. It will be nice for him to have a few weeks off to build up his strength.

Back to Albuquerque

We are heading to Aluquerque again tomorrow for week 10 of Kristoffer's treatment. He will have to be admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and Wednesday for chemotherapy. It is such a bummer. He has had such a good week. He has been running around and playing with friends and cousins. I hate to put more medication in him that will make his immune system go down again. This will be his last heavy round of chemo before he has surgery, so he will get a little break to prepare for surgery. That will be our next obstacle as parents. I'm trying not to think about it too much yet. It is still about 1 month away.
