Yesterday the nurse let Kristoffer go out to the healing garden to play with his brother and sisters. He had so much fun. We played baseball and ate lunch.
This is what Kristoffer's face looks like when you ask him to eat lunch. Needless to say he didn't eat.
He was feeling a lot better being outside and relaxing. I've missed this smile!
He missed his siblings. He lights up when they are around. We have been keeping them away so he would not get any germs.
Connor had fun playing in the little creek in the healing garden! He almost fell in a few times.
Such sweet boys!!
Braces off!

I am so impressed by people who do things like fundraise and plan for cancer centers, the healing garden, etc.. It is so great to get out of the fake light and air of inside the hospital, and I am so glad that you had a moment of almost normal. Children's in Boston used to have a garden. It got swallowed up in some expansion, but I spent a few hours there once, and it was very helpful to have that space. I hope K gets to leave the hospital soon. We are looking forward to what the doctor has to say about the rest of his treatment. I assume that won't be until Monday at the earliest.
Watched Lance today. the Tour de France began today. He did not win, but he is cycling for cancer awareness. I read that whenever he appears, the donations go up. LiveStrong!
That's nice that he got to play with his brother. It must be hard not feeling well and being lonely. He's a tough kid.
How fun for him! Im sure he was so glad to be able to get out and see his siblings.
It breaks my heart to see that sad face. But I know others who have gone through this and said food taste terrible! It brings great joy to see the smile on everyones faces as they get to be together as a family again!
